Hey Prowlers,
First of all, I hope everyone survived ice week in Dallas and is finally feeling a little spring in the air. We thawed. We made it. We rise.
On this episode, I sit down with fashion powerhouse and true insPURRation, Ruby Bhandari, founder of Silk Threads, and we talk about origin stories, setbacks, comebacks, philanthropy, and the kind of PAWsitivity that only comes from walking through fire.
Just weeks before her highly anticipated Fall Fashion Show, Ruby was in a car accident, caused by someone else’s recklessness.
Promotion stalled. Energy shifted. It genuinely looked like the event might not even happen. And then? They sold out.
Not barely. Not quietly. Stellar. Community-rallied. Miracle energy.
We talk about what it means to keep going when life says pause. About choosing optimism without bypassing the hard parts. About building something beautiful even when you’re bruised.
It felt divinely timed.

Speaking of bruised…
Some of you may remember that the EEOC issued me a Right to Sue regarding what happened during my time representing The Keller Pointe. It has been a heavy weight — not because I enjoy looking backward (I don’t), but because accountability matters to me.
Digging into records again reopened wounds I had worked hard to heal. I felt betrayal resurface. Anger. That powerless feeling.
And I hate anger.
I had finally found an attorney, only to discover a conflict of interest that halted progress. With 30 days remaining in the 90-day window, I faced a decision. Push harder. Or release it?
After prayer, reflection, I’m choosing to lay it down.
Not because it didn’t matter. Not because it didn’t hurt. But because I will not carry this broken place into the future I’m building.
I gave my everything. I was mistreated. I was injured. I fought for accountability.
Now, I choose peace.
There is something incredibly powerful about saying:“I have done all I can. The rest is not mine to control.”
And in a week where Ruby shared how her community showed up when everything seemed uncertain… I felt reminded:
We don’t always control the storm. But we do choose what we carry forward.
I’m choosing freedom.

This month's episode: Fashion. Faith. Fortitude. Philanthropy. And a sell-out show that almost wasn’t.
It’s one of my favorites - not just because of the runway magic, but because of what it represents.
When life hits hard, sometimes the miracle isn’t just that you recover…it’s that your community rallies. That people show up.That you don’t rise alone.
Stay CLAWsome.Keep rising.Find your people and let them rise with you.
And don’t forget, sometimes the miracle happens after the wreck.
Love & Purrs,
Jessica
