🙀 I Quit My Job… And Started Over!!! (Again)

Yup, MEW heard me right. 🐾

In full rebrand mode, I’ve been reflecting on the first time I hit the reset button almost a decade ago, after my divorce. It was messy. Painful. Transformative. And now, here I am again with another tough decision that came clawing its way to the surface.

Here’s the (hard yet simple) truth:If someone is mistreating you, whether it’s a friend, a partner, or your boss (yes, even your BOSS)...you’ve gotta ask:

Is this healthy? Is it okay for me to stay?

I broke my back (literally) for that job. And after returning from spine surgery, I could feel my health slipping even more. I love what I did. I found joy in serving the community. But I was breaking silently. The emotional toll was derailing my physical recovery, and my hair started falling out! It's like HALF gone. Legit, What-The-Feline?!

I weighed the benefits of staying, put in my two weeks, served my time, and launched Gal on the Prowl. Not because I’m fearless but because I’m finally listening to my heart (and hair).

I’m sharing this to offer some FURRocious truth: We get to CHOOSE our boundaries, protect our peace, and walk away when staying hurts more than it helps.

In this new episode of 'Gal on the Prowl' podcast, I’m joined by the radiant Andrea Reich, founder of Dallas-based Diadem Jewelry, mama to a wildly talented daughter, and all-around inspo queen. She’s sharing her leap into design, what it's like to build a creative empire, and some practical tips for turning your sparkle into a business. 🐾 What’s Next for this Cat on the Comeback Trail?

I hope to inspire you by going deeper into the origin story behind Gal on the Prowl: the real, raw, cat-fest-attending, film-creating, passion-reclaiming ride that started post-divorce in 2016 and is still unfolding MEOW, in 2025.

And guess what? Just because you started over once doesn’t mean you can’t start over again. And again. And again (It’s like cat lives, we get a few...or as I'm hoping, NINE.😹)

I returned late last night from a marketing conference, and it's given me so much to think about. My heart for 'Gal on the Prowl' is to inspire you (and myself) to Get up and not Give up, because there's so much more ahead for us to experience and enjoy! I don't feel like I've been able to clearly express my 'why' yet, but I'm working on it. Stay tuned...
