Hi FURRocious Felines,
Ā
On this episode of Gal on the Prowl, weāre talking about something every woman hopes she never has to face⦠but far too many do.
Ā
And yet, what happens after the diagnosis can be one of the most powerful stories of strength, community, and reinvention.
Ā
Cancer has a way of changing everything.
Ā
Your body.Your priorities.Your relationships.Your sense of time.
Ā
But it can also reveal something many women never realized they possessed, an extraordinary well of strength.
Ā
Not the kind that shows up in highlight reels or inspirational quotes.
The kind that shows up in hospital rooms. In quiet moments of fear.In choosing to keep moving forward anyway.
Ā
Many of you know that over the past year, Iāve been navigating a legal situation. There was a tiny bit of movement recently, but then it hit a conflict, and as of March 13th, the 90-day clock to file a lawsuit officially ran out.
Ā
Iām not entirely sure whether there are still paths forward or not. But if Iām being honest⦠Iām tired.
Ā
And for the first time, Iām realizing something important.
Getting the 'Right to Sue' letter may have been my ROAR moment.
I stood my ground.I spoke up.I reclaimed my voice and my power.
And sometimes thatās the victory.
Ā
Not every roar is meant to start a battle.Sometimes itās simply the sound of taking your power back.
For me, this moment feels like closure.
Ā
And truthfully, Iām excited about whatās next.
Ā
Lately, Iāve been pouring energy into something deeply aligned with my heart: building out the Rise ā Rebuild ā Roar workbooks that will eventually become live workshops.
Ā
These are designed for women navigating life transitions ā the moments when everything feels uncertain, and youāre trying to find your footing again.
Ā
Because Iāve lived it.
And I believe our hardest chapters can become the very thing that helps someone else rise.
Ā
Another conversation thatās been especially meaningful to me recently is around health and resilience. Three of my four grandparents battled cancer, so supporting those conversations and the people walking that road is incredibly close to my heart.
Ā
Itās a reminder that life is fragile, precious, and worth showing up for fully.
Which is why this season of Gal on the Prowl feels less about fighting the past and more about building the future.
Meet Heidi Slansky & Cancer StrongHER
Ā
In this episode, I sat down with Heidi Slansky, founder of Cancer StrongHER, a community built to support and empower women navigating cancer.
Ā
What started as a deeply personal experience for Heidi has grown into a powerful movement reminding women that they donāt have to walk this journey alone.
Ā
Because one of the biggest lessons she shares is this:
Strength multiplies when itās shared.
Ā
Cancer can feel isolating. But when women come together ā to share stories, resources, laughter, and hard truths ā something incredible happens, Community becomes medicine.
Ā
Whether youāve personally faced cancer, supported someone who has, or want to understand the power of resilience, Heidiās story is a reminder that:
Ā
You never know how strong you are until strength is the only option.
And even then, you donāt have to do it alone. You can find your community.
Ā This Monthās Episode:
Ā
Strength.Survivorship.Sisterhood.
Ā
A conversation about turning one womanās experience into a movement, helping others rise.Ā
Keep rising. Stay CLAWsome.
Ā
Love & Purrs,
Jessica
