I am beyond thrilled to share this MEWSletter with you for so many reasons!

FURRst, we’re celebrating my 7th episode! That’s kind of epic, if I do (and I do) say so myself.

Second, it marks ONE whole year since my spine surgery—and what a wild ride it’s been. I’ll spare you the deep, late-night spiral of thoughts from my recovery days, but let’s just say: I hit pause on social media to avoid the dreaded FOMO (because seeing everyone upright and living their best lives while I was doing the logroll and having my mom shower me? HARD PASS). That. Was. Brutal. But honestly, stepping away from socials meant I couldn’t publicly complain—so I kept my claws quiet while battling some depression over the source of my injury & fact that work wasn’t changing (spoiler alert: it didn’t), and I did the bravest thing ever…(which you know if you have been on this journey with me) I QUIT. Best. Decision. EVER.

Third—and most importantly— it’s my Birthday 🎉 month! My PURRsonal new year. Last year, I spent my birthday leaving the hospital with a walker (cute accessory, right?), but this year I’m walking into my own Dallas apartment! AHHHH! No roommates (aka the literal worst), no parents (love you, Mom and Dad, but…), just MEOW and my new space. I’m feeling wildly grateful and ready to plant my roots and SPREAD these wings. Or claws. Or both. Stay tuned—so much good stuff is coming!
